Our management
team has extensive (several decades) experience in the area of business
financing in general and, since 1998, with direct public offerings
(DPO's) in particular.
We know how
a company needs to prepare, what the pitfalls are and the details
that must be executed to complete successful DPO's.
DPO Services,
Inc. was formed by Enterprise Holdings System, a venture development
organization. The principals of Enterprise Holdings are experienced
business people who combined have more than 80 years of management,
financial, marketing and computer communications expertise.
DSI's founders
had been doing research on business use of the Internet for several
years, focusing on the development of electronic organizational
systems to improve Internet marketing and commerce. The concepts
and implementation efforts that DSI is using are the result of the
early R&D and the work that has been done since.
In our research
on nearly 2,500 companies that have attempted to do DPO's we have
identified three key factors that affect success or failure:
- It is critical
to understand the level of positioning, preparation and follow-through
that is needed.
- A successful
DPO requires an existing or developing affinity group (community
of contacts.)
- The ability
to maintain ongoing, frequent communications is absolutely necessary.
The Internet provides the best method for doing so.
As the Internet
grew, and because of our business development expertise, we recognized
the significance of DPO's as being able to provide the fuel that
many small businesses need to go to another level. (Of course, that
is precisely why DPO's were made possible as a result of a directive
by the U.S. Congress, back in the late 1970's.)
DSI's primary
focus is on the business readiness and DPO preparation process.
